Ok, this one seems like a no brainer…..vintage automobile ads Of course vintage Ford, Chevy, Pontiac, Hudson, etc, etc. But, what about going a step further by including vintage gas station ads such as Shell, Mobil, Texaco or Chevron ads. Better yet, how about some vintage oil ads such as Havoline, Conoco, Gulf and Kendall motor oil ads. |
If you really want to be creative, break away from the pack and put up some vintage lawnmower ads. Heck, why not throw caution to the wind and even include some vintage home related and building supply ads such as Dutch Boy Paint, Corbin or Russell Erwin Hardware, Pittsburgh plate glass and many more.

Colorful full page ads seem to spark the most interest although there are some really classic black and white ads. These ads from days gone by contain some truly classic looks that you just do not see today. Before the advent of computer graphics, most of these ads required an artist rendering, the likes of which are rarely used today. The attention to detail in the artwork of many of these ads is simply amazing.
