The Bathroom....

Are you kidding me? The bathroom? I have to admit that I never would have thought of using vintage ads in the bathroom until I heard this idea from a customer. She purchased a large lot of vintage personal care ads including Dial Soap, Listerine, Mennen shaving and lots of makeup ads.

When I asked her what she was going to do with such a large lot of vintage ads, she said that she was going to create a collage for her bathroom walls. This is one really hit home that there is really no limit to the creativity and ideas for interior decorating.

Colorful full page ads seem to spark the most interest although there are some really classic black and white ads. These ads from days gone by contain some truly classic looks that you just do not see today. Before the advent of computer graphics, most of these ads required an artist rendering, the likes of which are rarely used today. The attention to detail in the artwork of many of these ads is simply amazing.
